A1: We offer a comprehensive range of consultancy services, including assessments and research, project and programme design, strategy development, technical support to programme teams, and facilitation of workshops and training events, including training of trainers. Our expertise spans sustainable livelihoods, market systems, food and nutrition security, climate change adaptation, and holistic resilience-building.

Q2: What is your area of specialisation?

A2: We specialise in sustainable livelihoods, market systems, food & nutrition security, and holistic resilience-building, with particular expertise in dryland, conflict, and displacement settings. Sarah is also a qualified permaculture practitioner and trainer.

Q3: Where do you primarily operate?

A3: We are based in Nairobi, Kenya, but can operate globally. Sarah has extensive experience across Eastern and Horn of Africa, with additional experience in Southern Africa, the Middle East, Central/Eastern Europe, and Central America. She has lived and worked full-time in Kenya, Ethiopia, Sudan, Spain, the UK, and Australia, and undertaken short-term or remote work in numerous other countries. Our network of collaborating consultants are based all over the world.

Q4: What types of organisations do you typically work with?

A4: We have over 20 years of experience working with a diverse range of partners, including Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs), United Nations organizations, governments, localized faith-based and civil society networks and social enterprises.

Q5: Can you provide training and capacity building?

A5: Yes, a key service we offer is the facilitation of workshops and training events, including comprehensive "training of trainers" programmes. Sarah is a qualified teacher of adults and a trained trainer in SPHERE standards, the Minimum Economic Recovery Standards (MERS) and Permaculture (resilience design), and has extensive experience in building the capacity of programme teams and partners.

A6: Our approach is rooted in community-led programming, climate resilience, environmental protection, and systems strengthening. We focus on robust assessment and analysis to inform effective programme design, aiming to support long-term positive socio-economic change and build enduring resilience.
